Day 12. Burley, ID. 38 miles. 1,150 ft. climb

Since it is such a short ride, they got to sleep and eat a little later and even do a little sightseeing in Twin Falls before they left.   Most people went back to the Perrine Memorial Bridge and watched the jumpers.   As one person commented, "Anywhere else, if you saw someone standing on the edge of a bridge ready to jump, you'd call 911.  Here, it happens every day". There was so much time today, they organized a Scavenger Hunt on the way---you know, teams had to find various items---parts of tires, golf balls, pens, clothespins, whatever was on the list.   At the end of the day, teams presented their finds.   Each team gave itself a moniker, which of course showcased the creativity and humor of each.   The winning team not only had all the objects, but named themselves "Six Sore Balls and One Beer-drinking Bitch".  You can do the math.   Like I said, the group is bonding.

The ride to Burley was pretty easy and not all that scenic, though they continue to follow along the fabulous canyon carved by the Snake River.  Then on to  Shoshone Falls,  more agricultural fields; more irrigation equipment; more large trucks.  "More important: lots of friendly people who waved and/or gave us the thumbs up sign as we mosied along."
